Master’s Thesis
Overall Target
In the end of the study program, the master’s thesis is a scientific paper that aims to promote student’s ability to work in an independent scientific manner. Students must be able to make use of the knowledge they have acquired within the MBA study program. The thesis must point out the independence of student’s works, the intellectual penetration and the workload spent on.
Subject
The thesis must tackle a relevant scientific task referring to the subject of business administration. The students choose a subject which is in context to the taught modules of the curriculum and present it to a instructor of the MBA program or to a professor of the faculty.
It is required to have a first or second tutor from a company or another organization. Afterwards, it must be approved by the board of examiners.
Milestones
During the kick off event, students get a first short briefing concerning the main data about how to write the thesis. Students can choose freely when to write the thesis, within the three semesters, the recommended period is the third semester. During the third semester the students will have two meetings within a colloquium to present the status of the thesis and to discuss the results. In the end of the third semester,
each student presents his thesis within a final meeting to the other students.
